Hi,

I'm Rick Combs, and I'm a free-lance writer/photographer/broadcaster/ in the outdoors industry.

Much of my work revolves around hunting, fishing, camping, and environmental issues. My stories and photos have appeared in most of the major outdoor magazines, though I've occasionally done work for publications as diverse as in-flight magazines, religious publications, and academic quarterlies.

I'm currently a field editor for Bowhunting World magazine, where I pen a monthly column entitled Home Bow Mechanic, in addition to writing product reviews and an occasional feature story.

 I've guested (love that word!) on a number of outdoor television programs including Babe Winkelman's Outdoor Secrets, North American Fish & Game, Rut & Strut, and Outdoor Expedtions.

With Chip Hart, I co-host The Big Outdoors, a radio program that airs Saturday mornings at 5:00 A.M. on 700  WLW in Cincinnati. I've authored several books, and contributed to several others, and you can find links to these at the left.
